We are excited to announce the 2024 World Homeless Day Fundraiser starting on September 1, 2024. Every year the H.O.P.E. Foundation brings our community together to raise awareness and vital funds to support the homeless individuals we call Guests in the Hampton Roads community.
On World Homeless Day, observed globally on October 10th each year. This year the H.O.P.E. Foundation has a focused mission: to acquire a building that offers:
- safety,
- dignity, and
- H.O.P.E. to those most in need.
Our goal is ambitious but achievable with the support of our heavenly Father and community. We aim to raise $100,000 by the end of the fundraiser to fund the much-needed shelter here in our community. This new facility will provide a safe and welcoming space for those currently without a home—a place where they can rebuild their lives, find stability, and feel the support of a caring community.
How You Can Get Involved
1. Donate:
We are seeking 50 generous individuals to donate $100 each. Every donation, no matter the size, directly impacts our efforts to provide a safe haven for those in need. Together, we can make a difference!
2. Become a Team Leader:
Do you have the passion and drive to make an even bigger impact? Join us as a Team Leader! We’re looking for 20 dedicated leaders to rally their networks and inspire 50 individuals to donate $100 each. With your help, we can reach our goal of $100,000!
3. Spread the Word:
Help us spread our message of HOPE and support for those in need! Share this event with your friends, family, coworkers, and social networks. The more people who know about the telethon, the closer we get to achieving our goal.
Why This Event Matters
Homelessness is a pressing issue affecting countless individuals right in our backyard. Many of these individuals are facing unimaginable hardships, from job loss and economic instability to health challenges and lack of affordable housing.
The H.O.P.E. Foundation is dedicated to providing a lifeline to these individuals, offering programs and services to restore dignity, build resilience, and create pathways to a brighter future.
Building a shelter is not just about providing a roof over someone’s head. It’s about creating a safe space where our Guests can find support, access resources, and begin the journey to reclaiming their lives. By participating in this telethon, you are playing a crucial role in turning this vision into a reality.
